Amelia has a wealth of knowledge on nutrition, diagnostics, supplementation and has been a massive help to me

I was diagnosed with Uveitis in 2000 and leaving aside a 5-year remission period which ended in 2007, I’d since, continually been on steroids to maintain control of my ocular inflammation. First topically for 3 years then orally for a further 3 years and with both the longer I was on them the less control there seemed to be. The dosages got larger and the flare-ups more common. Along with all this came the common side-effects of weight gain, hair loss, and visible deterioration of both eyes and surrounding tissue. The only option from both my GP and eye consultant was a future on steroids.

Refusing to accept this I spent more than a year considering anything to do with autoimmunity and two common themes that surfaced throughout again and again, were that you can intervene with a dysfunctional body and, that the starting point should be the gut.

Enter Amelia Watts. Within a month after the 1st consultation and having had back laboratory results into stool and saliva sampling, we have an overview of the condition of my gut (not good), sure signs of adrenal fatigue (never heard of it), digestive disorder and a parasite. As well as having to hand this information we were also able to rule out other possible issues. This, all from simple measurable parameters. We now had targets, something to work on and we got on to it straight away. Through Amelia’s intervention my condition has gradually improved. I weigh less, feel better, skin has improved and everyone remarks I look better and all backed up by two lab retests confirming levels of distress have much improved. I’ve not completely rid myself of Uveitis but my eye condition is much more stable and managed with a low dose of medication.

Amelia has a wealth of knowledge on nutrition, diagnostics, supplementation and has been a massive help to me. It’s all been a real education and I’m not sure how I would have got here without her assistance.

Thank you Amelia.
